    Swiss Beverage Manufacturer Optimizes Production Processes with Pandia

    We conducted an interview with Tom Beck, who has been working in operations and process optimization at RAMSEIER Suisse AG for nearly two years.

    Pandia: Mr. Beck, could you briefly explain what you do at RAMSEIER Suisse AG?

    RAMSEIER: We are a Swiss beverage manufacturer with a wide range of products. A key goal of our team is to reduce changeover times between different products. Additionally, we want to keep technically-related downtime as low as possible.

    Pandia: What was the situation before working with Pandia? What problem was solved through Pandia?

    RAMSEIER: Before collaborating with us, our technicians often had to spend extended periods directly at the machinery and tried to identify the cause of problems using smartphone camera recordings. During changeover workshops, each employee needed a second person to film the changeover using a GoPro. Afterward, the videos had to be painstakingly edited together. The first problem we were able to solve with Pandia was bottles with missing caps. Different areas of the cap feeding system were filmed to observe the problem. With these recordings, the equipment manufacturer was able to identify and fix the cause. Since we were convinced by the Pandia system in this first deployment, we decided to purchase our own set.

    Pandia: How long has the collaboration been in place?

    RAMSEIER: For approximately two and a half years.

    Pandia: What particularly convinced you about our product?

    RAMSEIER: Above all, the fact that we were able to quickly solve a major problem – the missing caps – thanks to close collaboration with Pandia. The software and four cameras are very flexible and versatile. Improvement suggestions and ideas are implemented quickly when possible, which continuously develops the system.

    Pandia: What has changed since the collaboration began?

    RAMSEIER: We can now implement projects much faster and create error recordings more efficiently. Overall, our work has become significantly more effective – we make faster progress.

    Pandia: Which product feature was decisive for the decision to collaborate?

    RAMSEIER: The combination of cameras and software – particularly the synchronization of the four cameras and the ability to flexibly program recording resolution during automatic event recording. The color filter was especially helpful, which crucially supported us in solving our first problem.

    Pandia: What do you particularly appreciate about working with Pandia?

    RAMSEIER: You are very close to the product development and improvements. When a problem arises, a quick email is sufficient, and a solution is found promptly. That's really great!

    Pandia: What have you achieved through the use of our product?

    RAMSEIER: We significantly improved our changeover processes and thereby gained more time for production. This has further increased our delivery readiness.
